Lake Anna

This year we managed to coordinate schedules to take a weekend trip with some friends to Lake Anna, which is just an hour outside of Richmond. Ten adults and seven kids - it's hard to find a house to fit all of us but somehow we managed!

Girls huddle!

Parker and Jacob enjoying some morning TV time.

Love these two boys!

Even big kids need to take a break after a day playing outside!

Kelli and I

Brandon and I showing off our Game of Thrones shirts (we didn't even plan this!)

Parker practiced paddling Daddy around in the kayak!

Ainsley and Beatrix - the kids spent all day long swimming and we had perfect weather for it!

All the kids going for a ride (minus baby Eliza)!

The weekend trip happened to fall on Chris and Kelli's wedding anniversary, so the girls secretly worked with Chris to plan a vow renewal. She was so surprised when we all showed up dressed in our awesome hot pink bridesmaid dresses that we found on eBay!

We bought dresses for Kelli and the girls to wear.

"Priest Eric" had the vows and the bible ready!

The whole 'wedding' party!

What do you do when you are wearing ugly $9 bridemaid dresses? You jump in the lake!

Enjoying some s'mores by the campfire!

The weekend went by so fast but it was a great time! It's so hard to find time to get together with all our friends with everyone leading such busy lives. But whenever we get a chance to see people we are reminded of how lucky we are to have such a great support network. We hope we'll have a chance to catch up with other friends this summer - we'll see many of them at the neighborhood pool, at summer bbq's, and of course at JMU football games this fall!  This trip was a great way to start off the summer!
